The studio's surface-capture and CNC process, applied at architectural scale for bespoke commissions.
Process
Surface relief is captured from a natural specimen using a custom photometric stereo rig, then translated into a CNC-relief master. The master is moulded and cast in materials suited to the application - wall panels, surfaces, and integrated architectural elements. Each project begins with the same process used across the studio's editioned work, adapted in scale, substrate, and finish to fit the site.
Frequency Adjustment
The captured surface data is not fixed. Before milling, the relief can be adjusted to favour overall form or fine surface detail, independently of one another - useful where a project calls for a bolder, more legible surface at distance, or a finer, more intimate detail at close range.

Relief depth is determined by the source surface and can be adjusted within the constraints of the casting material. The underlying surface data can also be reshaped before milling to favour overall form or fine detail - see Frequency Adjustment above. Most standard-size reliefs sit within 20mm; larger custom works can achieve depths of up to 80mm. Projects requiring depths beyond this are considered individually. Exact depth is confirmed per project.
Jesmonite AC100 for interior work, Jesmonite AC730 (a GRC-equivalent) for interior and exterior applications, with additional substrates available for project-specific requirements. Finishes range from pigmented colour through metal powder, stone or exposed-aggregate effect, polished, and sanded texture - see Customise above for the full range.
Panel size is scoped to each project, informed by structural and handling requirements. Surfaces can be matched across multiple panels to form a continuous, monolithic installation.

Samples can be produced for bespoke projects on request.
Lead time is confirmed at the start of each project, in line with its scale and complexity.
